League of Legends

League of Legends is a rather unique multiplayer strategy game with RPG and RTS elements. Surprisingly, this game is based on a Warcraft III: Frozen Throne map known as Defense of the Ancients (DotA). Players loved this map and wanted it to be more. Now, League of Legends is a full game that can either be played for free or can be bought as a Collector’s Pack via retail stores. The Collector’s Pack boasts quite a bit of value if you can find it for $20 or less since it includes a map, several items, and $10 prepaid card. On to the game itself, you are a Summoner who can control various champions. You can choose a different champion for each match because the Summoner is like your RPG  character. Champions come with different looks, abilities, and personalities. Each champion has different minions who constantly spawn to attack the enemy. You win by destroying the towers and buildings of your opponent. Various stats are tracked as play as you play matches such as experience, victories, most used champion, and recent match history. All in all, League of Legends infuses a generous dose of personality into RTS mayhem.
